- 2026:
- The first gVXR User Meeting will take place on 22-23 October 206 at the Institute of Physics (IOP) headquarters in London, collocated with IBSim‑4i as part of the IBSim 2026 programme. The meeting aims to bring together gVXR users, developers, and interested researchers to introduce the framework, share use cases, discuss current challenges, and help shape future developments. Current and prospective users are warmly invited to participate, including by contributing short presentations or informal discussion inputs—both experienced users and newcomers are welcome. - gVXR will feature in the summer school of the International Conference on Tomography of Materials and Structures (ICTMS 2026), taking place in Manchester (UK) on 3 July . Learn more and register via the ICTMS conference website. See here for further details.
- gVXR will feature in the Dimensional X-ray Computed Tomography (dXCT) Workshop Day on 16 June 2026, with a hands‑on session focused on X-ray simulation and U‑Net segmentation for real XCT Workflows. Led by Prof. Franck Vidal & Dr Matthew Peter Jones, the workshop will introduce participants to generating realistic XCT projection data using gVXR, highlighting how physics‑based simulation can be used to create high‑quality synthetic datasets for downstream analysis and machine‑learning applications. - E. Kiely (University of Warwick) will give an oral presentation at the CCPi Show & Tell on Development of an Imaging Protocol for Laser Driven X-ray Sources.
