Summary

In this notebook we explore how to specify polychromtic X-ray tube spectra, without and with filtration. We also shows how to plot the spectrum.

Aims of this session

1. Select either the Speckpy or Xpekgen backends.
2. Specify the tube voltage, the beam filtration if any, the number of energy bins, and exposure.
3. Retrieve the beam spectrum and plot it.
4. Visualise the effect of beam filtration on a phantom.
