gVXR includes digital twins of real X-ray imaging systems used in synchrotron facilities and laboratory CT centres. Twins can be used to:
- Optimising acquisition parameters;
- Testing reconstruction workflows;
- Training new users before beamtime;
- ...
Request a New Digital Twin
Help us expand the gVXR digital twin catalogue.
If your laboratory, facility, beamline, or company operates an X-ray imaging system that could benefit from virtual experimentation, training, or synthetic data generation, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Digital twins range from specification-based models reproducing acquisition geometry and operating constraints to high-fidelity twins incorporating experimentally characterised source and detector properties.

Existing Digital Twin

Diamond DIAD
The Dual Imaging And Diffraction (DIAD) beamline is dual beam X-ray instrument for imaging, diffraction and scattering, which operates at energies of 7-38 keV.
Energy range: 7-38 keV
Diamond I12
The I12 Joint Engineering, Environmental and Processing (JEEP) beamline is a high-energy X-ray beamline for imaging, diffraction and scattering, operating in the energy range 53–150 keV.
Energy range: 53-150 keV
DTHE
The Dual Tomograph for High Energy (DTHE) is a high-energy X-ray computed tomography platform operated at MATEIS (INSA Lyon) and based on RX Solutions technology. It is composed of two orthogonal high-energy microtomography lines sharing the same rotation stage, enabling simultaneous tomography of the same specimen under different acquisition conditions.
Energy range: 60-260 kV
Nikon XT H 225
The Nikon XT H 225 is a versatile laboratory micro-CT system capable of achieving a spatial resolution of approximately 3 μm in transmission mode while accommodating large specimens up to 50 cm in size and 15 kg in weight.
Energy range: 30-225 kV
